Which mountains can I print?
Any peak OpenStreetMap maps as a summit. Search for it in the studio. If no route to its top is mapped, the print carries its relief and the route is the track you bring.
Why is your height lower than the survey's?
Because the open terrain under a narrow summit is coarser than the summit. We print ours and the survey's side by side, and the receipts show every peak's difference.
Can I bring my own route?
Yes. Choose your GPX or TCX file in the studio, from your watch or your app. Its highest point has to come within 500 metres of the summit you picked. If the file has times, The Expedition fills its days from them.
What reaches your server?
Nothing until you order. Your file is read on your device and never uploaded; an order carries the line it draws, your choices and the words you typed.
What sizes and papers are there?
Fine art paper, a framed print in black, white, natural wood or gold, a gallery canvas, a float-framed canvas, and a digital file. Sizes run up to 40 × 60 inches on the tall sheet; the studio shows every price before you order.
Who prints it, and what does shipping cost?
Prodigi or Printful, whichever gets it to you for less. Shipping is their own charge, at cost, shown before you pay.
Can I give one?
Yes. Give a Summit sells a code for an amount you choose. It pays for one print of the mountain they pick and has no expiry date.
What if it arrives damaged?
Send a photo to support@painted.app within 30 days and we'll have it printed again. Shipping and returns has the rest.
Does any expedition company or park approve these prints?
No. Painted Summit isn't affiliated with any park, expedition company or federation, and no company's logo goes on a print. The drawing is ours, made from the open survey.
