Painted Summit sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers, so there is nothing to consent to here.
What stays on your device
The studio keeps the mountain's survey, your track's line and your Expedition days in this tab's session storage while you work, so a trip to checkout and back doesn't lose them; they're gone when you close the tab. Your choices live in the page's address so a link reopens them.
A GPX file you add is read by your browser, and the file itself is never sent to us. Its line, simplified to at most 5,000 points with their times, is kept in that same session storage until the tab closes, and reaches us only inside an order you place, because the print is drawn from it.
Who else your browser talks to
To draw a mountain, the studio asks three public services for data: Nominatim to find the peak, Overpass (at overpass-api.de, or its mirror at maps.mail.ru) for the mapped route and the camps, and Amazon's open terrain tiles for the heights. Like any web request, each sees your IP address and browser; none of them can set a cookie on this site, and we send them nothing about you or your order. Our fonts, pictures and scripts all come from this site, never from a font or analytics service.
If this ever changes
If we add a cookie or a tracker, this page will say so first, with a new date at the top, and you'll be asked before anything that isn't strictly needed is set.
At checkout
Stripe's checkout page, on Stripe's own domain, sets cookies it needs to take the payment safely and prevent fraud. Its cookie settings explain them.
